- the member portal, app, or booking environment;
- online and in-person registrations;
- memberships, passes, classes, programs, and personal training;
- payments and financial administration;
- access to and use of the facility;
- email, WhatsApp, telephone, and social media;
- events, promotions, and campaigns;
- CCTV in designated public areas of the facility.
Third-party websites, payment providers, platforms, and apps may have their own privacy terms. Savage is not responsible for processing activities that we do not control.
3.Data we may collect
Depending on your relationship with Savage, we may process:
- name, date of birth, age, and contact details;
- residential address where reasonably necessary for contract administration;
- details of a parent, legal guardian, or emergency contact;
- selected membership, start date, contract term, membership status, and access information;
- check-ins, bookings, attendance, cancellations, and no-shows;
- payment status, amounts, payment dates, invoice and transaction references, and payment method;
- questions, complaints, incident reports, feedback, and communications;
- voluntarily provided information about training goals, injuries, limitations, or other health circumstances relevant to safe participation;
- website and device data such as IP address, browser, device, language, pages visited, date, time, referring page, and security logs;
- photographs and video where you have given permission or where lawful general event or atmosphere imagery is used;
- CCTV footage from public and secured areas of the facility.
Savage does not request more personal data than is reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose.
4.Why we use data
We may use personal data to:
- respond to questions and applications;
- create, perform, and manage a membership;
- provide access to facilities, classes, and digital services;
- manage bookings, waiting lists, cancellations, and attendance;
- process payments and follow up overdue amounts;
- provide safe and appropriate guidance;
- respond to incidents, injuries, and emergencies;
- improve our facility, services, website, and member experience;
- prevent or investigate fraud, misuse, unauthorized access, and security incidents;
- meet administrative, accounting, contractual, and legal obligations;
- establish, exercise, or defend legal claims;
- send operational messages about membership, payment, booking, safety, or opening hours;
- send marketing where you have consented or where otherwise lawful.
We use personal data only for compatible and reasonable purposes.
5.Health and fitness information
Information about injuries, limitations, pregnancy, medication, or other health circumstances may be sensitive. Savage processes this information only when you provide it voluntarily or when reasonably necessary for safe participation, guidance, or an emergency.
Access is limited to employees or trainers who need the information for their work.
Savage does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment. Providing information to Savage does not replace examination or advice from a doctor or other qualified healthcare professional.
6.CCTV
Savage uses CCTV for safety, access control, protection of people and property, prevention and investigation of incidents, and support of insurance or legal processes.
Cameras are located only in designated public or secured areas. There are no cameras in changing rooms, showers, or toilets.
CCTV footage is normally retained for no more than 30 calendar days. Footage connected to an incident, complaint, insurance matter, safety investigation, legal claim, or request from a competent authority may be retained longer for as long as reasonably necessary.
Access is limited to authorized persons. Footage is shared only where necessary and appropriate, for example with security providers, insurers, legal advisers, emergency services, or competent authorities.
7.Cookies and similar technologies
The website may use:
- necessary cookies for operation, security, language choice, forms, and sessions;
- functional cookies for preferences;
- analytics cookies to measure use and performance;
- marketing cookies to measure or improve campaigns.
Non-essential cookies are placed only after you have made the relevant choice. You may later change your preference through “Cookie preferences” or the website’s cookie settings.
Blocking necessary cookies may prevent parts of the website from functioning correctly.
8.Operational communications and marketing
Operational messages about your membership, payments, bookings, safety, opening hours, or service changes form part of our service.

Opting out of marketing does not affect necessary service or contract communications.
Savage does not sell your personal data.
9.Who we may share data with
Savage may share personal data with carefully selected service providers that support:

- membership administration, access, and bookings;
- payments and financial administration;
- email, WhatsApp, SMS, or other communications;
- analytics and campaign management;
- insurance, accounting, legal support, and debt recovery;
- emergency response, security, and incident investigation.
Service providers may use data only for the agreed services or their own legal duties.
We may also share data where:
- you have given permission;
- it is necessary to perform your agreement;
- it is necessary to protect people, rights, or property;
- a competent authority lawfully requires it;
- it is necessary for a legal claim or process;
- Savage is restructured, sold, or transferred, subject to appropriate confidentiality.
10.Processing outside Suriname
Some hosting, software, analytics, communication, or payment providers may be based outside Suriname or process data internationally.
Savage selects reliable providers where possible and requires appropriate security and confidentiality. By using digital services, you understand that certain technical data may be processed through international systems.
11.Retention
We do not retain personal data longer than reasonably necessary.
As a general guideline:
- membership and financial data: for the membership period and up to 7 years afterward where needed for administration, accounting, disputes, fraud prevention, or legal obligations;
- general inquiries and correspondence: up to 24 months after the last substantive communication;
- website and security logs: up to 12 months unless an incident requires longer investigation;
- marketing data: until you opt out or the data is no longer needed;
- CCTV footage: normally up to 30 calendar days, subject to the exceptions described in this Statement;
- incident, insurance, and legal files: for as long as reasonably needed to resolve the matter and protect rights.
Data may be deleted or anonymized earlier when no longer needed.
12.Security
Savage takes reasonable technical and organizational measures against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, alteration, destruction, and unlawful disclosure.
Access is limited to people who need the data for their work. Digital systems are protected where appropriate through access controls, logging, updates, and backups.
No system can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping passwords, access codes, and account details confidential. Report suspected misuse immediately.
13.Your requests and choices
You may ask Savage to:
- provide access to your personal data;
- correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- delete data that is no longer needed;
- restrict a particular use;
- withdraw previously given consent;
- stop direct marketing;
- explain how your data is used.
A request may be limited where processing or retention remains necessary for an agreement, outstanding payment, incident, fraud prevention, legal claim, or legal obligation.
To prevent misuse, Savage may verify your identity before completing a request.

14.Minors
A person under 18 may register and participate only with permission from a parent or legal guardian and in accordance with Savage’s age and supervision rules.
We may process details of the parent or guardian for consent, payment, communication, safety, and contract administration.
15.Photography and video
A membership does not automatically give Savage permission to use identifiable photos or videos of you for marketing.
Separate permission is requested for individual or clearly identifiable promotional use. You may withdraw permission for future use. Withdrawal does not operate retrospectively against material lawfully published before withdrawal, but Savage will reasonably cooperate in limiting future use.
16.Changes
Savage may update this Privacy Statement when our services, technology, operations, or applicable rules change.
The latest version will be published on the website with a new date. Members may also be informed of material changes by email, through the member portal, or by notice at the facility.
